Medical Grade
50–250 microns; production options with 12%–18% polyamide content
In addition to standard products, custom thicknesses, structures and lamination combinations can be developed for individual projects. The appropriate product is selected according to the sterilization method, packaging format, printing application and technical requirements.
At SteriInk, we aim to offer suitable PA/PE solutions for medical packaging by assessing film structure, packaging method, dimensions, the product to be packaged and manufacturing requirements together.
PA/PE is a multilayer packaging film combining polyamide (PA) and polyethylene (PE) layers. Final film properties can vary according to materials, layer structure and production process.
PA/PE films with suitable technical properties can be considered for various medical packaging applications according to the intended use and packaging system requirements.
PE refers to a polyethylene-based film, while PA/PE is a multilayer structure combining polyamide and polyethylene. Mechanical properties and packaging performance may therefore differ according to the application.
Printing on PA/PE structures can be considered when suitable film surfaces, surface treatments and printing systems are selected. Printing suitability should be determined according to the film’s technical properties.
